This weekend on September 27thand 28th, Richmond’s historic 17thStreet Farmer’s Market will host the 10thannual Italian Street Festival.
There will be food venders and local restaurants selling pizza, pasta, kettle corn, gelato, Italian ice and more classic Italian cuisine. Some of the vendors include DeLuca Gelato, Bacchus, Rita’s Italian Ice and Angelo’s Italian Restaurant.
The festival promises traditional Italian music, jazz, and rock music. There will be accordion players wandering around the food vendor area.
In addition to food and music, there will be a cultural exhibit featuring Italian artifacts and keepsakes.
The Italian Street Festival is a fun and inexpensive way to spend a family weekend if your parents are coming to visit, or with friends to let off some steam after a week of classes.
The event runs from 11:00am to 8:00pm on Saturday, September 27th, and from 11:00am to 6:00pm on Sunday, September 28th. A $5 donation is required at the gate.
