Market 810 TO-GO!

It’s even more convenient than Shafer, while still being in that great, central location right by the Library and Hibbs! One would wonder why people call it Shafer to-go at all. It’s almost like you get the wide selection of Shafer with the ability to eat it outside of Shafer! Or at Rodney’s. 

OPTIONS
Selections from Shafer, including pre-made sandwiches. Uppercuts (extra swipe options) are available. Large pizzas, buffalo wings with a 2-liter bottle of soda are available to order for multiple swipes. Sometimes they have a few pizzas ready to go if you’re not too picky about toppings. Chicken tenders or fried shrimp tend to be the available uppercuts.

There is also a breakfast menu, with all your typical breakfast choices, like eggs, bacon, pancakes, etc.

HOURS
Monday-Thursday: 7:00 a.m – Midnight
Friday: 7:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.
Saturday-Sunday: 10:30 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.

FOR THOSE WITH A DINING PLAN
One swipe for Uppercuts, or one main course meal and two sides. Both options come with a drink. Pizzas can also be purchased with two swipes, with a large soda included.

BUSY TIMES
Right when it hits 11am, that’s when things tend to get busy. People get pretty excited over the chicken tenders.

QUALITY
It’s exactly what you expect from Shafer. It has a lot of what Shafer has to offer, but not everything, but it’s enough to get by on if you just need to pick something up before you go to class.

RECOMMENDED OPTION
Pizza with a 2-liter? It’s hard to beat that. But you need to know that the chicken tenders are the one-swipe wonders of Shafer To Go.

During breakfast though is what you want to get. You get all your breakfast basics (eggs, sausages) with something like pancakes or french toast to go along with it. It’s pretty delicious. And also conveniently placed for all your friends to meet up at, since, you know, it’s at Shafer.

TIPS
It’s quick, and if you only have 15 to 20 minutes between classes it can be perfect. It can seem like it has all the best parts of Shafer upstairs, but it will never stack up with the real thing.

Also, use Rodney’s if you’ve got time. It’s comfortable, and trust me, it’s meant to be used for students who just want to relax and have a bite.

Also, the staff there are very nice and are willing to start conversation with students like you. I say, appreciate it.
